Selfishly, I don't want my competitors getting the same advantage we have, but he's made me do this post (don't ask me how).

We hired Steven in January to help our relatively new Client Success team with call structure, positioning, communication and follow ups.

Now they're steering conversations, closing upsells, and handling objections like they've been doing it for years.

It's gotten to the point where they're doing "sales" without even realising it, even though we hate that word at fatjoe.

Close rate has gone from 29.5% average in 2024 to 39.3% in March 2025.

So yeah, I'm being honest and selfish: Don't hire him.
